About Dr. Pam Kososki, L.Ac. DACM
Founder of Up North Acupuncture | Land O’ Lakes, WI
Rooted in the Northwoods
The Northwoods isn’t just where I practice, it’s where my life has been rooted for decades. My family has owned property on the Cisco Chain for more than 40 years, and being Up North here Land O’ Lakes has been part of my story since childhood.
Some of my fondest memories are the shore lunches on Indian Lake with Jack LaChance, who taught me how to fish for walleye and enjoy his famous shore lunches. I still think of Ted Eberly and his bait shop whenever I have breakfast at Forest Lake Cafe.
Opening Up North Acupuncture isn’t about starting something new, it’s about bringing my work full circle, back to a community that has always felt like home.

My Path to Acupuncture
I began my wellness career as a licensed massage therapist, training in Precision Neuromuscular Therapy with Doug Nelson in Champaign, IL. That training opened the door to working with the Green Bay Packers, helping professional athletes recover from injuries and perform at their best.
Wanting to offer even more, I went on to study acupuncture at the Midwest College of Oriental Medicine. Since then, I’ve built a practice that combines the best of traditional acupuncture with modern therapies like microcurrent, cranial techniques, muscle testing, and nutritional support.
Advanced Training & Continuing Education
I believe the best practitioners never stop learning. Over the years, I’ve studied and trained with leaders in the fields of medicine, chiropractic, and integrative therapies, including:
Sports & Pain Therapies
Dry Needling & Battlefield Acupuncture (VA/military-style pain relief)
Electrical Acupuncture & Stimulation Therapy (Dr. Anthony Lombardi, Canada)
Advanced systems: Balancing Method, Master Tung, Dr. Brad Whisnant
Frequency & Energy Medicine
Ongoing training with Dr. Carol McMakin in Frequency Specific Microcurrent (FSM)
CranioBiotic Technique (CBT) with Dynamic Health, Idaho
Usui Reiki Master since 2010—an early foundation in energy work that continues to shape my holistic perspective
Muscle Testing & Functional Approaches
Quarterly applied kinesiology training, identifying stressors such as pathogens, toxins, and nutrient imbalances
Nutrition & Supplement Support
Extensive training in clinical nutrition, recommending trusted lines like Standard Process and Biotics Research
